How long do you perform for?

We perform 2 x 45 minutes set and an 10 minute encore set
We suggest for evening events that we do not start playing before 9.30pm.

What are your payment terms?
We require 50% as a deposit and to confirm the contract.
We require the remaining 50% to be cleared 5 days before the event.
There are no hidden costs on the prices you see.

What time do you arrive?
90% of evening events start between 7.00pm and 8.00pm – so the prices you see reflect us arriving around 1 hour and a half before this time. If you require us to set up earlier, we obviously have to charge an extra fee to cover this. Please contact us to find out how much this will be: info@functionone.co.uk

How come you advertise your prices on your site?
90% of function bands don’t have prices on their website. We’ve spent a long time working out our prices to offer a fair but competitive pricing scheme. The price you see is the price you pay. We’ve worked out different costs for difference packages and distances.

Why are you called a ‘Showband’ and not a function band?
A showband is a band that puts on an excellent ‘performance’. We feel that our musicians, sound, lighting and showmanship are worthy of being called a ‘Showband’ – we’re not your average function band!

We only have a small area for the band to perform
We need ideally 4M wide x 3M deep or ideally 6M wide x 3M deep. If you have a smaller space than this – please let us know.

Can we see you Live?

How long do you take to set up?
Between 1 hour and 2 hours – depending on loading into the venue. We like venues with easy access!

Does the band need refreshments?
Yes – we require one hot meal and soft drink per band member. We also require some area to get changed – (that isn’t the toilets!)
